This guide is for the new player just joining the shard. Its here to help you get started and give a few tips and tricks. This is a work in progress and will update it regularly. Hope to make it a Sticky thread.

This is a very unique shard. I suggest you refer to the player guide often http://www.enigmauo.com/playerguide.html and the town map http://www.enigmauo.com/euo_wiki/index. ... le=Britain. Npc's are old fashioned here and you have to talk to them to interact. These are the commands you can use with them; "vendor buy/sell", "quest", "hail", or by saying the vendors name. There are a few quest that can be done once a day, and there is very long quest with many steps. Just have to talk to the npcs to get started.

First thing you do is create your character and select your starting stats. I recommend setting your starting stats to 35 str, 34 dex, and 30 int. That way you can lock int, and raise str and dex faster. Magery is not that useful, so 30 mana will allow you to cast any spell at least once. Dex and Str are far more important and I recommend a finished char at 100 str, 95 dex, and 30 int.

Starting out:
Ok, so when you first enter the game, take the 100 gold you have and go buy a cheap axe and a hammer for carpentry. Start chopping (harvesting) trees and turning them into boards. Sell the boards for 2gp per. Its the fastest and easiest way to start getting gold. This raises str fast also. To raise dex fast, snooping is the best.

Melee:
When you have about 2000 gold, go buy a full set of armor and a heater shield (for battle defense) and use the dagger you start with for melee. All weapons and hands gain in melee, but a dagger is the fastest way to start training. Take the rest of the gold and buy a ton of bandages! First aid is your primary way to heal and you need to use it early and often, so start on it and heal often, very often. Start training melee and battle defense (shield) on deer. You can train on deer for a long time, well into 60's. Once your gains slow down on deer, start on rabbits. Once your healing gets up enough, you can start on skeletons and orcs.

Battle defense:
If you want to work on battle defense, use a heater shield and attack 2 or 3 deer at a time. It will raise pretty fast that way, all the way to gm. Just keep letting multiple mobs attack you, and keep healing.

So, once you start to kill orcs and skeletons, the best thing to do is lure them away 1 by 1. May want to stay away from the skele lords and orc captains for a while. All monsters can drop scrolls, gold, weapons and gems.

Magic:
To start working up magic, start collecting scrolls to put in your spell book. You can get a spell book from mages. At 0 magic, you have to use the scrolls first to gain some before you can start casting from the book. Once your able to cast create food from the book, cast that till gains slow down, then move to the next spell. Keep doing that till gm.

Magic resist:
Best way to gain in magic resist is to cast magic arrow on your self, and when gains slow down, move to fireball.

Mining and Blacksmithing:
In order to use mining, you need to buy a few pick axes and then look around the lands for rocks. You wont see "mountains" like you use to, just little rocks scattered throughout the map. Use the pix on them. Blacksmithing is the same as always. If not able to make daggers, you will have to repair damaged heater shields a few times to get enough skill to make them. Blacksmithy is the best money maker once you get a stockpile of ingots and have decent skill. It takes work tho.

Alternate money maker: Stealing
If you dont want to chop trees, you can always make a thief and steal from the shopkeepers backpacks. Just mind the guards, you will be grey for a bit. You wont make as much nearly as much as harvesting, but it can be fun.
